For centuries, the tombs remained untouched, but during the 20th century, they were looted by treasure hunters who destroyed the structures and took valuable funerary offerings. What remains today is a direct testimony of the past: naturally mummified corpses, braided human hair, ceramics, textiles, and ceremonial remnants that are still visible thanks to the desert’s dry climate.

Detailed Itinerary
Transfer to the archaeological site
At the coordinated time, our vehicle will pick you up from your accommodation in Nazca and take you along a scenic route through the desert toward Chauchilla.
Guided tour of the necropolis
Your guide will accompany you throughout the visit, explaining the historical and funerary context of the twelve restored tombs, where naturally preserved mummies, braided hair, garments, and offerings remain. The cemetery provides a unique open-air experience, with archaeological evidence visible in its original setting.
Return to the city
After completing the circuit, we will return to the city of Nazca in our vehicle. End of the tour.
