Why Travel with Peru Coyana?
Experience a fascinating day with Peru Coyana that merges the natural wealth of the Pacific Ocean with one of the most important Inca archaeological sites on the Peruvian coast. This full-day tour begins with a visit to the Ballestas Islands, home to sea lions, guano birds, and the charming Humboldt penguins. We will sail near their shores on modern boats and observe the mysterious geoglyph known as El Candelabro, carved into the desert sands.
The second part of the tour takes us inland to the Pisco valley, where we find Tambo Colorado — an Inca administrative fortress built during the reign of Pachacutec. It surprises with its excellent preservation, reddish walls, and its significance as evidence of Inca architecture developed on the coast.
A perfect experience for those who want to enjoy the best of Peru’s southern coast: nature, history, and living culture.
