Why Travel with Peru Coyana?

The Ayahuasca ceremony — known as the “vine of the spirits” — is a sacred healing and spiritual tradition from the Peruvian Amazon. This ancestral medicine, made from the ayahuasca vine and the chacruna plant, has been used for centuries in rituals of emotional and physical cleansing, led by experienced shamans to reconnect body, mind, and spirit with nature.

Peru Coyana offers this experience in a safe and natural environment, guided by an Andean master who will accompany you every step of the way. It is recommended for those seeking inner transformation, spiritual release, and a deep encounter with themselves.

Detailed Itinerary

Day 1: Cusco – Preparation – Ayahuasca Ceremony – Night of Integration

Around 08:30 a.m., private transport will pick you up from your hotel in Cusco and take you to a peaceful countryside house in the rural area of Chinchero (or similar). Upon arrival, you’ll be welcomed by our Andean shaman, who will explain the spiritual and therapeutic process of the ceremony.

Before taking Ayahuasca, an energetic cleansing and spiritual alignment will be carried out using sacred elements such as incense, coca leaves, floral water, and other traditional rituals. These aim to release negative energy and prepare your body and soul for connection with Pachamama and the spiritual realm.

At nightfall, the central ceremony begins with the ingestion of Ayahuasca. Over several hours, participants are guided by the shaman’s sacred chants (icaros), traditional instruments, and presence. After the ceremony, you will rest in the house for integration and peace.

Day 2: Awakening – Reflection – Return to Cusco

At sunrise, a light breakfast is served, followed by an integration talk — an essential part of the experience where participants can share insights and reflect on the messages received.

You will then have free time to relax and connect with the natural surroundings before returning to Cusco around midday.
