Why Travel with Peru Coyana?

The San Pedro Ceremony (Huachuma) is a sacred ancestral practice and one of the most profound spiritual legacies of the Andean peoples. For millennia, this master plant has been used for healing, consciousness expansion, and reconnecting with nature. Today, its sacred properties are preserved thanks to the wisdom of Peru’s native healers. Performed in sacred natural sites, the ceremony seeks to reconnect you with your inner being and bring clarity on a physical, emotional, and mental level.

The name “San Pedro” was given during colonial times, linking the plant to the Christian apostle said to hold the keys to heaven — as this experience opens internal doors to transcendence and the divine.
