Detailed Itinerary

03:00 a.m. – Pick-up and Transfer to Ollantaytambo

We begin the day by picking you up from your hotel in Cusco and heading in a tourist vehicle to the train station in Ollantaytambo (approx. 1 hour and 45 minutes).

05:30 a.m. – Train Ride to Aguas Calientes

On board the Expedition train (or similar service), we travel through the Sacred Valley, passing high jungle landscapes, towering mountains, and the Vilcanota River. The journey lasts approximately 1 hour and 45 minutes.

07:00 a.m. – Arrival and Bus to Machu Picchu

Upon arrival in Aguas Calientes, we board the tourist bus that takes us along a winding road to the entrance of the Machu Picchu sanctuary (30-minute ascent).

08:00 a.m. – Guided Tour of Machu Picchu

We begin a 2-hour guided tour through the main sectors of the citadel: the Temple of the Sun, Intihuatana, Sacred Rock, Temple of the Three Windows, ceremonial plazas, and viewpoints. Your guide will explain the historical, architectural, and spiritual significance of this Inca masterpiece.

10:00 a.m. – Free Time

You will have free time to walk around, take pictures, meditate, or simply enjoy the magical natural surroundings of the citadel.

12:00 p.m. – Return to Aguas Calientes

We descend by bus back to the town of Aguas Calientes. You’ll have time to enjoy lunch (not included), visit the artisan market, or relax in the main square.

16:30 – 18:30 p.m. – Train Back to Ollantaytambo

We board the train to Ollantaytambo, where our private transport will be waiting for you upon arrival.

20:00 – 21:00 p.m. – Return to Cusco

We continue by bus back to Cusco and drop you off at your hotel. End of services.
