Detailed Itinerary

08:00 a.m. – Hotel Pick-up

We begin our journey with pick-up from your hotel in Cusco. Aboard our tourist transport, we head south along the route that connects to the South Valley.

08:40 a.m. – Tipón

Our first stop is Tipón, an Inca archaeological complex renowned for its advanced irrigation system, which still functions today. We explore 12 agricultural terraces, water channels, aqueducts, and ceremonial fountains while our guide explains its importance as an agricultural and spiritual center.

10:00 a.m. – Pikillacta

Next, we visit Pikillacta, a pre-Inca city built by the Wari culture between the 6th and 9th centuries. This vast complex features over 1,000 structures including temples, plazas, and a remarkably organized urban layout made of stone and adobe. It stands as one of the most important civilizations prior to the Inca Empire.

11:30 a.m. – Andahuaylillas

We arrive at the charming town of Andahuaylillas to visit its celebrated San Pedro church, famously known as the “Sistine Chapel of the Americas.” The 17th-century interior features baroque murals, golden altarpieces, and painted wooden ceilings that transport visitors to the colonial era.

12:30 p.m. – Gastronomic Stop (Optional)

On the way back, we make an optional stop in the towns of Saylla, Tipón, or Huasao — known for their traditional cuisine. Here you can enjoy local dishes such as Cusco-style chicharrón, roasted guinea pig (cuy), or the regional specialty chiriuchu, accompanied by fresh juices or chicha de jora.

13:30 – 15:30 p.m. – Return to Cusco

We return to Cusco between 1:30 and 3:30 p.m., depending on the length of the culinary stop. Drop-off will be at your hotel.
